Queens Grass, a tradition of growth
The number of possible applications for our turf keeps growing, as does our company. Thirty years ago, we started our company on 1 hectare under the name of Binnenhof at Lage Vuursche, in the Province of Utrecht. Queens Grass currently has over 250 hectares of adjoined growing-fields on high-lying sandy soil at our production site near Borger in the Province of Drenthe. This location provides excellent conditions for the economical growing and harvesting of high-quality, multi-purpose turfs. Besides, on sandy soil we are able to harvest nearly at all times. As a result, apart from the wintry frost periods, we are always able to deliver.
Over the years, along with the development of new products and the increase of alternative uses our expertise has also steadily increased. There has also been an increase in the number of conditions under which they have to perform, such as the different climatic zones in Europe. However there is one thing that hasn’t changed over the years, Queens Grass is still a family business with a compact and reliable organisation.
